Couple ordered to prison for getting back together
A man and his wife have been given prison sentences of six and four months respectively for getting back together again.
Penal Court 1 in Motril handed down the sentence after it considered that both had mutually ignored a distancing order placed on the man for a period of 40 months in September 2008. He was ordered to remain at least 500m from his wife and to make no communication with her in the ruling made in the domestic violence court.
The case came after the Guardia Civil found the man, named with the initials M.H.E.K. in the company of his wife.
The two are unlikely to enter prison though, as in cases where there is no previous record, prison sentences of under two years are suspended in Spain.
