Tragic Saturday on Andalucia roads
It was a tragic Saturday on the roads of Andalucía when 11 people died in seven fatal accidents across the region. A further 12 people were injured.
There were three deaths in two accidents in Sevilla, a driver drowned when his car fell into a swollen stream in Cádiz, two died in Almería, one of them a pedestrian, and five died in Granada.
Indeed the worst accident was in Salobreña on the N340 where two men and a woman died and another three people are in a serious condition after a head on collision between and Audi and an Opel Combo. The accident happened on a straight section of road with clear visibility at the 328.3km point.
In Tarifa two youngsters lost their lives after their car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit two others on the N340. Five other people were slightly injured in the crash, including a four year old boy and three year old girl.
