Recovered car contained body of local businessman
A team of volunteer firemen from La Palma rescued a car from the sea bed in Santa Cruz de La Palma on Thursday afternoon and found it to contain the dead body of a local businessman who had vanished from the island on Monday.
The deceased, I.V.O.P. was a well known 61 year old local businessmen who ran a petrol station in Barlovento.
Family members were on hand to identify the body.
