It means the gap at the top of the table remains two points after Barcelona found their form against Racing with it ending 4-0. Ibrahomovic pickled up an ankle injury and is a doubt for Barça against Stuttgart. Already out for the game through injury are Keita, Abidal, Xavi and Dani Alves.

Sevilla beat Mallorca at home 1-3, Deportivo suffered against Xerez, Athletico de Madrid returned to poor form in Almería and Málaga managed another win.

In the King’s Cup Basketball Regal Barça humiliated Real Madrid 80-61 to get their second title of the season. The game is making the headlines for events off the court, where the King and Queen were booed and whistled at the stadium in Barakaldo before the match. It came during a short version of the national anthem.
