Daniel Diges was chosen in a television gala on Monday night to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest final this year. The competition takes place in Oslo on May 29.

The 29 year old from Madrid obtained top votes from both the jury and the public in the TV show which chose between the ten finalists.

‘Algo pequeñito’ is almost a waltz, composed by Jesús Cañadilla, Alberto Collado, Luis Miguel de la Varga and Diges himself, with musical production by, con Alejandro de Pinedo and artistic production by Once de Agosto.

The song was performed with several child ballerinas on the stage.

The other side of Monday night’s gala came from rap artist John Cobra who gave a sexist display against his ballerinas grabbing himself between the legs and causing upset among the crowd. The crowd started to chant ‘fuera’ while the singer continued to insult the crowd saying 'Tocadme la polla', while the presenter, Anne Igartiburu, tried to keep order in the live broadcast.

A statement from TVE said that the gala saw two million more viewers than last year with a 15.6% share, but that it considers the performance of Cobra was ‘indignant’.
