Stuttgart 1 - Barcelona 1
Barcelona had to come back from behind against Stuttgart in the Champions League but have the comfort that their equaliser goal from Ibrahimovic counts as an important away goal. As one Spanish paper reports this morning, the man even smiled.
Stuttgart went ahead of the Champions in the first half with a goal from Cacau and many observers consider the Germans deserved a better scoreline.
Barcelona lacked their normal structure although injury doubt Xavi did play. Only Messi was fed some chances down the right hand side, but there was little danger for the Stuttgart goal. Barça’s first chance did not arrive until the 39th minute.
The Barça goal came in the 7th minute of the second half and from that point the game was more balanced.
The return leg in the Camp Nou will be played on March 17.
