Ronda Legionnaires head for Afghanistan
120 members of the Foreign Legion leave from the ‘Alejandro Farnesio IV’ barracks in Ronda for Afghanistan today.
The group will fly from Málaga Aiport this morning to take part in the NATO International Safety Assistance Force. They will be joined by members of the Helicopter and Transport Battalion based at Comenar Viejo in Madrid, and the Logistical Support Unit 21 based in Sevilla.
The new mission has a five month duration with the contingent expected back in Málaga at the end of August.
