Drugs car chase in Benidorm and Altea
The National Police in Benidorm have recovered a haul of hashish after a car chase with some traffickers during which shots were fired.
The police swoop started in Benidorm and ended in Altea when the traffickers crashed their silver BMW X5 into a power pylon. Two local police cars joined in the chase in Altea. Police say the car had been stolen in Marbella some days ago.
Información reports that the amount of the drug recovered has not yet been made public, but that there were three large 40 cms cartons in the boot containing the hashish.
The three men in the vehicle managed to make their escape on foot however, despite some 20 police combing the local area for an hour.
