Authorities rule out any link between found cranium and Yeremi Vargas
Possible human remains and a cranium of a child or woman have been found partially buried close to a children’s park in Vecindario, on Gran Canaria. A full investigation is now underway to confirm the nature of the skull.
It was nearby that seven year old Yeremi Vargas vanished in March 2007, but the authorities have now ruled out any connection between his disappearance and the discovery.
National Police are also still working on the case of the disappearance of Sara Morales from the Canaries, she was last seen in July 2006.
The cranium was found on Sunday night close to the children’s park at Vecindario, which is part of the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
