Local police in Cartagena made an arrest on Sunday night of a 65 year old man who comes from the Peral neighbourhood in the town. He is accused of having destroyed three cash dispenser machines with a hammer, admitting to the police that he was ‘bust and needed money’.

The arrest came just before 1am when the police were called to a bank branch in Peral where they saw the man hitting the dispenser with his hammer, and enter the bank by breaking a window. Later they discovered that two similar attacks had taken place earlier in the night.
