Control of the Alhambra to remain in Granada
The Culture Department of the Junta de Andalucía has carried out a u-turn and has now agreed that the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife can remain an autonomous organization.
The Granada City Hall had protested at plans to place the monument in the Sevilla-based Public Agency for Cultural Institutions in Sevilla, considering its control should remain in Granada.
Now a new statement from the Junta Culture department says that conditions for the inclusion were finally not met, and so there will be change.
