British gang leader arrested on Palma
National Police in Palma de Mallorca have arrested a 26 year old British man, named as James D.R.J. who is alleged to be the head of gang of thieves of the same nationality and who had managed to escape detention in February when the rest of the gang was broken up.
Police from the Son Sant Joan Airport and the Playa de Palma police station have now completed a case which started months ago, to indentify, find and break up the British gang which was carrying out several types of crime, but especially theft.
James D.R.J. is reported to have an extensive record in the U.K., and was recognised by police last Sunday when stopped with a friend who presented a fake driving licence in the name of James B. Collaboration with Interpol allowed a quick confirmation of his identity and he was formally charged.
