Spain wants Perejil Island returned by Google
The Spanish Government has written to Google demanding that they return the Isla de Perejil to Spain.
The small island is just one of a group of Spanish islands off the Moroccan coast, Perejil, Alborán, Vélez de la Gomera and the Chafarinas Islands, which are currently labelled by Google Maps and Google Earth as belonging to Morocco.
A formal request was placed by the Spanish Foreign Ministry, and Google has responded that the request is being dealt with.
