18 Moroccan immigrants have been arrested in the past 24 hours after crossing the Strait in three toy inflatable boats. It seems that the mafia who control illegal immigration from Morocco are providing the inflatables and sending people on their way, thus avoiding any possibility of being caught themselves.

The latest arrivals were rescued on Tuesday at 9am when the Coastguard rescued six men in danger of sinking when three miles to the South of Punta Carnero in Algeciras. It followed an earlier 12 arrivals on two toy boats the beach near Tarifa on Monday.
