Murcia woman dies in cave house collapse
Emergency services were called to the scene at 11.27pm on Wednesday night. The woman’s daughter called them saying her mother was trapped following the collapse in Calle Carrasco.
The fire service managed to get the body out but could only certify her death.
Reports indicate the family are well-known in the area, with the victim being the girlfriend of the ex local undertaker. The home, which is more than 100 years old, has now been taped up by the Guardia Civil which has declared it to be in a ruinous condition.
