Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, in Spain for the launch of their new film ‘Knight and Day’ which releases in Spain this week, have been playing down the inaccuracies in the film, the main one of which moves the San Fermin bullruns from Pamplona to Sevilla.

Parts of the film were shot in both Sevilla and Cádiz.

When asked about that by El País, Cruise said he understood the concerns ‘as it is your country’, but said the film was not trying to be a historical documentary, and they just wanted to celebrate Spain.

He said that people should know that he understands that it is part of Spain’s culture, and that what people are seeing is just how beautiful your country is.

‘Please just understand that we meant no offence’.
