Judge widens Brugal Case investigations
The magistrate in the First Instance Court 3 in Orihuela, Carlos San Martín, has widened the Brugal Case which is investigating the concession of rubbish collection services in the Vega Baja.
Some 40 people are now being called to give statements, most of them holding public positions and including the Mayor, Mónica Lorente, her predecessor, other current and ex councillors, and workers and ex workers in the Colsur company.
Investigations in the case of rubbish collection in Orihuela started in May 2007, and reporting restrictions remain in place in the case.
