The Prosecutor is also calling for a four year prison sentence for Vilar and his ex wife, Montserrat Vives.
Carlos Fabra’s wife, María Amparo Fernández Blanes, also faces an eight year prison sentence for tax fraud.
The requests from the prosecutor follow those made in the private prosecution against Fabra which is being carried out by the UCE Spanish Consumers’ Union, who have demanded a 20 year 3 month prison sentence and an 18 year ban from public office for the head of the PP in Castellón.
Spanish media claim Fabra collected 841,000 € in backhanders from seven companies via a company called Camarcas S.L. which is also under investigation.
