Madrid Deputy Mayor appeals the archiving of the Madrid political spying case
The appeal presented by Manuel Cobo, the Partido Popular Deputy Mayor of Madrid, against the archiving of the political spying case against him on the grounds that the costs to the public purse could not be established, has been placed.
Cobo considers that the PP Madrid Regional Government has been shown to have carried out the surveillance against him, and that the order was given knowing it to be illegal.
Cobo’s appeal details evidence ignored by the judge in the Madrid Provincial Court and names the Director General of Security, Sergio Gamón, as the person behind the alleged action.
