British woman arrested for stabbing her husband to death
A British woman was arrested by the National Police on Monday morning in the urbanisation Torremuelle, Edificio Altavista, for allegedly stabbing her husband, also British, to death.
The Torremolinos-Benalmadena police station received a call around 2am in the morning from a neighbour who said that a British resident had been stabbed in his home. Police and emergency services went to the scene, but could only certify the death of the 57 year old Sunderland man who had one deep stab wound which had caused his death.
The 48 year old wife of the victim, named only with the initials M.C. and also from Sunderland, was arrested at the scene and has been taken to the Torremolinos police station for questioning.
The police say they have no previous reports of domestic violence from the couple although neighbours have reported frequent fights.
