Apple opens first store in Spain in Barcelona
Apple opened its first store in Spain in the La Maquinista Commercial Centre in Barcelona on Saturday, and next Saturday it will be joined by another store in Madrid.
Deputy head of retail from the company, Ron Johnson, said that they hoped to open more stores across the country ‘soon’.
The Barcelona store has a staff of about 70, and has more than 100 of the company’s products available for the public to use and try.
There will also be free individual computer training sessions under the ‘One to One’ program, and a so-called ‘Genius Bar’ where free technical assistance will be available.
