Helen Manzan has always been passionate about TV and film. She studied drama at De Montford University, then got a place at USC summer school on their Universal Studios directing and producing programme. She met Stephen Spielburg and went to lectures given by some of the greats in film-making at the time: Bob Gale, Joel Cox, and Alan Parker. She went on to work at Universal Pictures in London in the legal department, and regularly bumped into starts in the lifts! Everyone from Rowan Atkinson, to Hugh Grant, to Sacha Baron Cohen. She also worked for Working Title and was told to help herself from costumes left over from a ‘small’ film called Love Actually!
