Peter Egan is a British actor known for roles in various television shows including Ever Decreasing Circles, Downton Abbey, and more recently in Unforgotten, where he played Cassie Stuart’s father, played by Nicola Walker. He is also a longtime animal lover and activist, who campaigns publicly in behalf of animal rights and animal welfare. He is a patron and ambassador for various animal charities, and has worked very closely with Marc Abraham, helping to end to puppy farming in the UK
