The Cudeca Foundation has announced its traditional Walkathon with the aim of raising funds to continue caring and accompanying people at the end of life.
The presentation was attended by the mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas; the ambassador of the Idiliq Foundation, Hernán Lara; the assistant manager of the Sunset Beach Club Hotel, Miguel Marcos; and on behalf of the Cudeca Foundation, the Deputy Chief Executive and Financial Director, Rafael Olalla as well as volunteers from the Foundation.
A WALK TO CARE AT THE END OF LIFE
Cudeca Foundation, after 2 years celebrating its annual solidarity walk in a virtual way, returns to celebrate its traditional Walkathon.
It will take place on Saturday, May 28 on the promenade of Benalmádena in front of the Sunset Beach Club Hotel (c/ Torre vigía Benalmádena) and aims to raise funds to care for and accompany people with cancer and other advanced illnesses, as well as to offer support to their families.
There will be 2 walking routes of 10kms and 5kms, a Holi Color Party and a solidarity concert. After the walkers finish their routes, different solidarity activities will be held thanks to the collaboration of Activities and Events for Companies Exploramás; and there will be live music, face painting, solidarity paella, games for children, solidarity raffle and many more surprises.
Holi Color Party
This party was born in India where the well-known Festival of Colors takes place, which celebrates the arrival of spring and is known as Holi. The celebration consists of throwing colored powder at each other, symbolizing the arrival of spring and the colors that will come with it. To be part of this party, registration at the Walkathon is needed.
There will be a concert from 4pm to the amusement of all attentding the Walkathon 2022, having the band iPop to perform for our charity event. The band covers the most popular styles of various periods of history … Spanish pop-rock of the 80s and 90s, Latin and international of the new century and even today´s best selling pop songs, both disco and electro Latin … 4 musicians from different backgrounds and nationalities to mingle up for our entertainment.
10 Kilometers: Start at 10:30am
5 kilometers: Start at 11:30am
Holi color party: 13:15pm
iPop charity concert: 16:00pm
Registration can be done through the Cudeca Foundation website www.cudeca.org.
Pre-registration is 10€ adults and 7€ children (0-16 years).
Same day registration is also possibleon the day of the march at the registration tables located on the promenade in front of the hotel Sunset Beach Club, Torrevigía street. The registration fee, then is 12 € adults and 8 € children (0-16 years).
