TRE’s Hannah Murray pays tribute to author Jeffrey Archer, who passed away yesterday, October 5th.
She says:
“I was so sad to hear of Jeffrey Archer’s passing yesterday. I had the pleasure of interviewing him many times over the years. He was always so kind, a joy to chat to, and the master of self-promotion!
He spoke about his latest book ‘End Game’ set during the London 2012 Olympics.
He also said that his next book will be his last, and that he hopes it will be bigger than ‘Kane and Abel’
That book is called ‘Adam & Eve‘ which is published today, the day after he died. Quite poetic I’d say.
I know it will be a bestseller, and I think he knew it would be too.”
Tune in to www.tre.radio this Wednesday 7th October at 4.30pm CET (3.30pm UK) to hear Hannah’s last chat with Jeffrey Archer from December last year.
In the meantime, here’s one from the archives – in 2017 Lord Archer spoke to Hannah about his latest book (at the time) ‘Tell Tale’ – a collection of short stories, which gives the reader a fascinating insight into the people he’d met, the stories he’d come across, and the countries he’d visited over the past ten years.
… and you’ll find more of Hannah’s interviews with Jeffrey Archer (on the TRE Book Show)…and a back catalogue of her ‘TRE in the Afternoon’ audio, right here:
